Half-hourly meters: what the data is for.

A half-hourly meter is not a status symbol. It is a file that says when the site actually used power. If the last tender used an annual kWh and a shrug, the unit rate was a guess dressed as a quote.

Factories, farms with dryers, cold stores, and any site with a process spike are where this matters. An office with a flat daytime profile can sometimes live without the drama. A grain dryer cannot.

We open the HH file before we go to the 15+ suppliers on the book. The comparison you see is built on that shape: peaks, quiet nights, the weeks the line was down. The comparison is built on that shape.

If you do not have the file, we will tell you how to get it from the supplier or the meter operator. A one-to-three-day tender still needs the volume story to be true. Estimated annual consumption is not a volume story.
